Update on ASF’s brand evolution

In July we announced that the ASF would be evolving our corporate logo and brand system to represent the “community over code” ethos we are known for, and ensure people feel welcome and included.

In August, the ASF Board formed a Logo Project Management Committee (PMC) composed of ASF Members who are responsible for delivering the new logo. Individual members from our 800+ strong membership list also have the ability to submit a logo for evaluation by the PMC within guidelines established to emphasize our values.

We had initially planned to deliver the new logo at Community Over Code in October; however, that has been extended to ensure the Logo PMC has the appropriate amount of time for logo selection.

If you want to learn more about why we’re evolving the logo, read the FAQ at the bottom of the original blog post here – and follow the ASF blog for progress updates.

Questions about the brand evolution can be directed to the ASF Marketing & Publicity team at press@apache.org. Thank you!
